WIND Mobile And Blockbuster Announce Alliance Bringing Wind Experience Into Blockbuster Locations

16 Blockbuster locations in Calgary and Toronto to feature newest wireless experience
Toronto – December 14, 2009 – A new mobile experience will enhance entertainment choices at Blockbuster Canada stores as WIND Mobile strikes a new alliance with Canada’s premium provider of in-home movie and game entertainment.
“This is a win-win-win for our two companies but most of all, for prospective customers,” said Ken Campbell, CEO of WIND Mobile. “We’re focused on creating an excellent customer experience and we’ll be doing that directly in 16 Canadian locations of Blockbuster – a leader in its field.”
WIND Mobile is planning on an initial in-store retail presence in 13 Blockbuster locations in Toronto and three in Calgary. The new alliance will offer Blockbuster Canada members the convenience of subscribing to the newest competitive choice in wireless – directly in neighbourhoods where they live, shop and play.
“At Blockbuster, it is all about the customer experience, and we are excited to diversify our already broad offering of entertainment and technology even further with this new agreement with WIND Mobile,” said Barry Guest, General Manager of Blockbuster Canada. “We welcome WIND Mobile into our stores and communities and look forward to working with them to take the customer experience to the next level in innovation and technology.”
The 16 Blockbuster locations will house a 150 square foot “store within a store” – featuring WIND Mobile products, plans and staff ready to help with subscription, bills and information on the latest in wireless technology.
