• WIND Mobile Expands Customer Offerings, Network

Response to customer feedback results in new low and mid-range data options and significant network improvements

TORONTO – May 5, 2010 – WIND Mobile, Canada’s newest national wireless company, is pleased to announce expansions to both its customer offerings and its network. Beginning today, WIND is introducing three new data options for customers.

Charged Mobile and Charged BlackBerry are available for $20 monthly. These services are designed for frequent use of mobile Internet and are a direct response to requests from WIND customers. They include 500MB of data, sufficient for roughly 300 emails or browsing 150 web pages daily. “Many of our customers told us they weren’t heavy users, or light users – and that what they really needed was a mid-range data add-on,” said Scott Campbell, Chief Marketing Officer of WIND Mobile.

In addition to these two mid-range data choices is the new Social Mobile alternative. “Social Mobile is priced at a reasonable $10 per month for 50MB of data, sufficient for roughly 30 emails or browsing 15 web pages daily. Introducing these to our roster of data services means WIND Mobile is providing incomparable value for mobile data across a variety of price points,” added Campbell.

The new data offerings, as well as the recent addition of the Nokia 5230 and the Huawei U1250 handsets, were created in response to WIND Mobile’s community. “WIND is growing every day with input from our customers,” continued Campbell. “Whether it’s an idea for our plans or handsets or feedback on our network – we are always listening.”

Since launching the first completely new national all-IP wireless network in Canada in December of last year, WIND has doubled the number of cell sites nationwide to improve its coverage footprint and network performance. “Our network uses the most advanced, state of the art mobile technology,” said Campbell. “Thanks to customer feedback and our team of expert engineers – we call them ‘ninja’ engineers – we’re building it in record time compared with any other past or present new entrant in Canada.”

WIND Mobile, which launched in Toronto and Calgary last year, and Edmonton and Ottawa in Q1 of 2010, is preparing to launch in Vancouver shortly, following the addition of 100 new employees to WIND Mobile operations in British Columbia.
